FedEx 727-022C

This scarce 727-22C began its life as N7437U, and was delivered to Untied on October 29, 1968. It was production line #647, and was powered by (3) Pratt & Whitney JT8D-7s. Originally configured with 143 seats, the aircraft was ordered with the original factory cargo door.

FedEx acquired the aircraft in 1979, named her “Jarrod”, and put her back into service as N113FE with (3) Pratt & Whitney JT8D-7B’s. In 2006, the aircraft was officially taken out of service and served as a training aid for ground crew at Atlanta for six years. FedEx donated N113FE in March of 2011, along with our F-27-500. She was subsequently dismantled and moved to the museum’s permanent home where she currently awaits restoration.
