Strategic Corporate Partnerships
There are many reasons companies choose to align themselves with nonprofit, community efforts. Whether your company’s mission is community development driven or marketing-focused, the National Museum of Commercial Aviation can develop a strategic partnership to fit your unique interests and goals. While there are many different programs available, we have highlighted our six most popular partnerships.
Underwrite an Education Program or Specific Outreach Effort
Development of young people’s interest in aviation is one of the primary goals of the museum. Educational outreach programs such as Young Aviators Book Club and our new Flight Academy allow students to interact with industry professionals and learn about exciting careers in aviation. The Young Aviators Book Club (YABC) meets monthly, and students discuss books about aviation legends like Amelia Earhart, Bessie Coleman and the Wright Brothers. Participants are challenged with an aggressive reading schedule, and learn not only how to read better, but comprehend what they are reading and be able to intelligently discuss the content, all the while learning about the personalities that helped shape aviation. Each semester, the club serves between 12 and 15 students, ranging from 7 to 12 years old.
Annual underwriting of the YABC is $5,000 and provides up to 4 books for each student, teaching resources, and craft materials for paper airplanes and other projects. The Flight Academy can be sponsored per semester or per class, and costs range from $1,000 to $5,000, which provide books, manuals and supplies for 15 to 25 students.
If your interest is simply helping the museum effort advance our mission, then the Corporate Donors Program may be right for you. Donations to the General Fund allow for unrestricted use for educational programming, community outreach, marketing and fundraising efforts, matching grant dollars, staffing and other critical needs. Donations are fully tax deductible. Corporate Giving levels include the following:
Prop - $1,000+; Turbo Prop - $5,000+; Twin Engine - $10,000+; Regional Jet - $25,000+;
Wide Body Jet - $100,000; Supersonic Jet - $250,000
Host a Travelling Exhibit
If your company is in a high-traffic location, or deals in aviation-related business, you may want to consider hosting a travelling exhibit. Our expert curators will design an exhibit to match your décor and customer base, while providing an added attraction to capture and retain visitor’s interest.
Exhibits are available for 3, 6 or 12 months. Sponsorships begin at $2,500 for 3 months, $5,000 for 6 months and $10,000 for 12 mos. Hard exhibit costs such as display cases and marketing depend on the location and situation.
Sponsor an Exhibit
One of the most visible partnerships available, exhibit sponsorships provide for name and logo placement alongside an exhibit of your choice. Is there a specific facet of the industry that you would like presented in an exhibit? Our staff can work with you to identify exhibit components that can help tell your company’s story. One of the most visible partnerships available, exhibit sponsorships provide for name and logo placement alongside the exhibit, exhibit receptions and press releases announcing the opening and/or sponsorship. Mentions in the bi-monthly newsletter and annual events as well as logo links on our website provide additional exposure.
Exhibits are available for 3, 6 and 12 months. Sponsorships begin at $1,500 for three months, $2,500 for six months and $5,000 for 12. Hard exhibit costs such as cabinets and marketing depend on the location and situation.
Hotels, airlines, restaurants and other service providers can help the museum effort without a direct cash outlay. Providing travel or meal vouchers, items of value for the Annual Gala Silent Auction, airline or airport related equipment or services such as engineering, planning, architectural, design, legal and accounting, all help contribute to the bottom line.
Each year, the museum hosts several events including an Annual Gala & Silent Auction and member events such as exhibit openings and receptions. Companies can participate by purchasing seats or tables at our major events, becoming a named sponsor for an event, sponsoring a golf team, beverage cart or hole in our tournament or providing catering. Strategic logo placement in banners, table tents, programs and communications add exposure.
