Group & School Tours
Great for scouting troops, home-school groups, church youth groups, senior centers, airline retiree associations, small school classes and business outings. While group tour size is limited to 30 due to the small size of the interim exhibit rooms, our 60-minute tours offer an insight not only to the exhibits and our growing collection of more than 95,000 artifacts, but are a great learning experience with a step into the collections processing area to learn how artifacts are received, catalogued and cared for. Includes time on our airline flight simulators.
Call (404) 675-9266 or email us to set up a group tour. Specific focus tours can be arranged, with access and viewing of particular interest areas such as individual airlines, airports or aircraft. Cost is $6 per adult participant, and $4 per student or child, which includes entrance ticket, a craft or activity for school age groups, and a souvenir artifact for all groups.

Development of young people’s interest in aviation is one of the primary goals of the museum. In addition to school & group tours, the museum offers an array of on-site and on-demand programming. Educational outreach programs such as Young Aviators Book Club and our new Flight Academy allow students to interact with industry professionals and learn about exciting careers in aviation.
The award-winning Young Aviators Book Club (YABC) meets monthly, and students discuss books about aviation legends like Amelia Earhart, Bessie Coleman and the Wright Brothers. Participants are challenged with an aggressive reading schedule, and learn not only how to read better, but comprehend what they are reading and be able to intelligently discuss the content, all the while learning about the personalities that helped shape aviation. Each semester, the club serves between 12 and 15 students, ranging from 7 to 12 years old.
